Gustavo Guerriero Wins Best Student Award at SAMPE Benelux Meeting

xhtmlcGustavo Guerriero, PhD candidate from the Structural Integrity Group and Clean Era, was awarded as the best student in the SAMPE Benelux student meeting hed on January 2010. The jury, with several members of the industry such as Fokker Aerostructures, Airborne Composites, KVE, and Composite Technology Centre, have selected him to represent the Benelux in the SAMPE Europe Student Conference in Paris (April 9th to 11th), and participate as a delegate in the 31st International SAMPE conference and the JEC exhibition (April 12th to 15th). The selection criteria comprised a mixture of the quality of the presentation, the technical knowledge and industrial relevance of the research.

Amir Abbas Zadpoor Graduates Cum Laude

xhtmlcOn Tuesday 12th January 2010, Amir Abbas Zadpoor obtained his doctoral degree cum laude for his dissertation, entitled Tailor-made blanks for the aircraft industry. Our sincere congratulations go out to Amir for his valuable contribution to the Structural Integrity group and we wish him well in his future endeavors as an assistant professor within the 3mE faculty.
