Air Transport and Operations

Welcome to the Air Transport & Operations (ATO) website

Air Transport and Operations Symposium 2010 (ATOS'10) (14,15 & 16 April 2010 )

The hot topic of ATOS 2010 is how air transport can evolve to continue to add value in the 21st Century! Some of the key aerospace value challenges are typified by the SESAR goals for 2020 in being able to handle a threefold increase in capacity, improving safety by a factor of 10, reducing environmental impact by 10% and reducing expenses by a half. However, this is all in the context of our current financial crises and the need for industry stakeholders to remain solvent and competitive. ATOS 2010 will consider these issues as we go into the 2nd century of aviation! Consequently, the international aerospace community, both scientific and industrial, is invited to submit abstracts of papers that are consistent with the overall theme of the symposium: ‘Adding value in the 21st Century’. In particular, papers are sought that fit within one of the four distinctive subject tracks outlined further in this call. I look forward to welcoming you to Delft to what is sure to be a stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable experience.

ATOS 2010 General Chair, Prof. R. Curran

Papers are sought on everything from design methods to case studies, from system level down to detailed subsystems. Topic areas include but are not limited to:
