Scenarios for large scale offshore wind energy in the Netherlands

The aim of the PhD-research is to investigate the opportunities and threats to the new industry, by developing scenarios as paths to the implementation of large-scale offshore wind energy in the Netherlands towards a target of 6000 MW in the Dutch EEZ. Important are a realistic view of the time scale within the uncertainties of the future and the consequences of decisions, as well as the conflicts of interests that may arise because of the different conditions set by the different stakeholders.
