Gijs van Kuik receives award from European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE)

During the annual PhD seminar of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), TU Delft Professor of Wind Energy Gijs van Kuik was presented with the EAWE Science Award. The Academy presents this annual award to scientists who have made a significant contribution to wind energy research and innovation. Professor Peter Tavner, President of the EAWE explained that Van Kuik (Scientific Director DUWIND) receives the award for his contribution to wind energy science by bringing together various disciplines in the TU Delft DUWIND research institute and the European Academy and his designs for advanced, smart wind turbines.
